T Thiagarajan appointed as pro-tem Speaker for Puducherry Assembly
The swearing-in of Thiagarajan as pro-tem Speaker will take place at Rajnivas in the next few days and Lt Governor would administer the oath.
All India NR Congress legislator T Thiagarajan was today appointed as pro-tem Speaker for the Puducherry Assembly.Secretary to the Assembly M Sivaprakasam told PTI that Lt Governor Iqbal Singh made the appointment under powers conferred on him by the Union Territories Act 1963.The swearing-in of Thiagarajan as pro-tem Speaker would take place at Rajnivas in the next few days and Lt Governor would administer the oath.
