Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushma Swaraj on Friday crediited the party's landslide victory in the 2014 general elections first to the workers of the party, and then to prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi.

In her tweet, Swaraj said: "We receive this mandate of people of India with humility and gratitude."

"This victory is the result of hard labour of millions of BJP Karyakartas, blessings of Sangha and able leadership of Shri Narendra Modi," she added.
