Amidst heart rending scenes, six-year-old Satjya Teja, son of Suryanarayana, lit the pyre.

The body was brought here on Monday night from Delhi and kept at  Suryanarayana's East Anandbagh Colony residence in Malkajgiri area.

Earlier, former Chief Minister and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu visited the house of the slain engineer and placed a wreath. He also called on the family members and children of Suryanarayana.

Manjula, wife of Suryanarayana, was being treated at hospital after she attempted suicide by consuming some pesticide on Monday.
