Surveillance enhanced in Andhra Pradesh bordering areas: DGP

Andhra Pradesh director general of police (DGP), K Arvind Rao, today said that surveillance has been intensified in the bordering areas of the state in view of growing Naxals activities.The Naxals activities have spread over the bordering districts of Khammam, Warangal, Vijayanagaram, Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam, he said, adding that the surveillance in these districts have been intensified.The DGP, who was here to inaugurate a police station, told reporters that highway patrolling would be reintroduced soon.When asked about the deadline of December 31 given by TRS to announce separate state of Telangana, Rao said special police forces have been sought to control the law and order situation in the state.He said that 19 suicide cases related to the Micro Finance issue have been recorded in the state so far.
