Supreme Court hauls up Centre over protection of Ganga

 The Supreme Court today rapped the knuckles of the Centre over the protection of the Ganga.In its statement to the government, the court said, "You are showing no urgency in the protection of the Ganga but are in other matters. Some issues that ought to be on the back burner are being out on the front burner," giving the Centre two weeks to form a definitive road map to clean the river.
