advocate Vineet Dhanda demanded that the bank accounts of the separatist leaders be frozen as they allegedly receive funding from across the border
The Supreme Court on Monday refused to order a probe into the larger conspiracy behind the recent Pulwama terror attacks and dismissed a petition that sought a court-monitored probe into the incident of February 14.
The petition filed by advocate Vineet Dhanda suggested a deeper malaise in the system as he wondered how such large quantity of explosives got into the state and used in the execution of the attack by the terrorists despite the number of security checks. He questioned the role of Hurriyat leaders and other separatists in giving tacit support to stone pelters, who tried to block the Army's counter-operation to nab the men involved in the terror attack.
Dhanda demanded that the bank accounts of the separatist leaders be frozen as they allegedly receive funding from across the border.
The bench of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice Sanjiv Khanna said, "We are not inclined to entertain the petition," and ordered the same to be dismissed.
