Despite the threat of Shiv Sena protesting against the launch of former Pakistan External Minister KM Kasuri book 'Neither a Hawk Nor a Dove', the event took place as scheduled on Monday evening. Both Sudheendra Kulkarni and Kasuri were in attendance despite the organiser being attacked by Shiv Sena earlier in the day.

The event was attended by film actor Naseeruddin Shah, noted lawyer and historian AG Noorani and journalist Dileep Padgaonkar and who were panelists at the launch. 

Shah spoke at the event praising Kulkarni for going ahead withe the launch even though under immense threat of further violence. "It takes immense courage to do what Mr Kulkarni did this morning at the conference. I thank you Sudheendraji for what you did, and for asking me to be her," he said.

He said that he never faced any issues in Pakistan while visiting the country. "Whenever I was there in Pakistan, never ever was any of my show cancelled or was held up. I have always received love and affection there," he said.

He added that he had moved around Lahore without any security.
