A Sashashtra Seema Bal (SSB) team today arrested a smuggler along with 5.2 kg charas worth around Rs 78 lakh along the Indo-Nepal border in Bihar's East Champaran district.

The SSB's 47 battalion's Commandant Sonam Chherring said that the SSB team arrested the smuggler from block road of Raxaul town in the district.

He had entered the Indian territory from Nepal side, Chherring said.

The smuggler, a resident of Telkuwa village under the jurisdiction of Penawli police station in Nepal's Bara district was handed over to Raxaul police, he said.
