The website of the famous Ranganathaswamy temple at Srirangam in the district was temporarily suspended after it was hacked allegedly by some hackers based in Pakistan, police said on Saturday.

They said the website, which was found hacked on Friday night by some unidentified persons, was used for booking rooms and poojas besides making donations.

Cyber police suspect that some Pakistan-based hackers could have hacked the website, which was temporarily suspended.

The problem was later sorted out and the website started working from this morning, officials said.
