Katra, base camp of the Vaishnodevi cave shrine, will soon have a centre for spiritual growth togive boost to pilgrim tourism in Jammu and Kashmir. The Rs 12crore Spiritual Growth Centre, being constructed by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, aims at boosting pilgrim tourism in the state, Shree Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) officials said. The centre comprises an auditorium with a seating capacity of 460 persons, a library, an amphitheatre, a prayer hall, exhibition halls, audio-visual room, conference halls, a meditation hall, art and craft exhibition areas, prayer rooms, food stations, guest rooms and dormitories, they said. Over 87 lakh pilgrims visit the cave shrine every year.
