The meeting lasted for nearly two hours. Though the details of the meeting were not available, but sources suggest the wily politician is looking for a way back into politics and is eager to join BJP.

Amar Singh at one point of time was deemed as one of the most powerful persons in the Delhi power circle. But that changed after he fell out of favour with Mulayam Singh Yadav. Amar Singh and his close aide Jayaprada were suspended from the party.

He later formed his own party Rashtriya Lok Manch but that failed to gain any popular support in the last Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Amar Singh fought Lok Sabha election unsuccessfully from a RLD ticket.

A comeback to BJP may be Amar Singh's last chance at redemption. But Amar has several corruption charges against him. So it's unclear if BJP will take Amar Singh in its fold.
