Yadav, while interacting with principals, teachers and students at his residence here, said that in democracy half of the population cannot be neglected.

"People with Socialist ideology never ignored the interests of the women. The educated daughter of a family makes the family educated and after marriage (too) she spreads it," he said.

Yadav said his government was working for the all-round development of the state and has decided to have the development agenda for the coming financial year.

However, he desisted from elaborating the schemes of his government for empowering women and providing them equal opportunities, saying it was very difficult to make things move by the bureaucracy.
