"Mulayam Singh Yadav and Mayawati cannot utter a word against Modiji as he and CBI have their remote control," he said while addressing a meeting here. Alleging that BJP and RSS are engaged in 'touting of religion', Rahul said they only love to be in power. "BJP and RSS people do dalali (touting) of dharma (religion). They have no love for cow or religion. They only love to be in power," the Congress vice president said.

Alleging that Modi is a "selfie and promise-making machine", he said his promise of 'achchhe din' is only meant for his industrialist friends. "Narendra Modi made different promises...But nothing has been done on the ground. He is a machine that takes selfies and makes promises," Rahul said. He said 'Deoria to Dilli kisan yatra' has been started with the objective of ensuring that farmers get relief from loans and power bills.

"BJP leaders orchestrate riots before elections and make Hindus fight Muslims. In Haryana, Modi pitted Jats and non-Jats against each other. Haryana, Assam and Bihar are examples," he said. Rahul will hold a roadshow in Kanpur on Wednesday, as part of his ongoing yatra.

Jalaun Congress leader H P Agnihotri said Rahul's roadshow will enter Kanpur on Wednesday evening from Shastri Nagar and will reach Phool Bagh. A "khat sabha" will also be organised before the roadshow at Ghatampur, 60 km from Kanpur. Rahul will spend Wednesday night at Kanpur's circuit house and will leave for Unnao on Thursday, he said.
