NEW DELHI: The cold wave sweeping Delhi over the last week abated slightly on Monday with the mercury rising to 6.2 degree Celsius.

With the minimum temperature rising, from 5 degrees yesterday,  to 6.2 degrees C, the chill over the city since the last week slightly abated.
  
Though there was a slight mist in the morning, visibility levels remained normal at 1000m.
  
The chill could abate further in the next few days with the  weatherman forecasting a rise in minimum temperature to 7 degrees C on Tuesday.
  
The Met office has forecast a mainly clear sky in the capital during the next 24 hours.
