SRINAGAR: J&K chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad had to face severe embarrassment on board a Delhi-bound Air Deccan flight minutes before the aircraft was to take off from the Srinagar airport on Friday.

A sky marshal on board the aircraft allegedly teased a 23-year-old passenger prompting the captain to call the police.

The ensuing ruckus forced the chief minister to take another flight to Delhi. There was much rumpus when a NSG commando, Naik Krishan Kumar, working as sky marshal, allegedly teased a Delhi girl inside the plane.

Kumar, belt number 3187801, is working with the National Security Guards (NSG) as a sky marshal, police said. Sky marshals are posted in aircrafts to foil hijacking attempts and keep an eye on anti-national elements, on board, if any.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police, (anti-hijacking), GM Dar, the captain of the aircraft called the police after the situation went out of control. Passengers were up in arms against the sky marshal who they alleged teased the girl.
