A six year old girl was kidnapped by her own uncle and aunt (uncle was own brother of the child's mother) Salman Shah and Sabreen in Bangalore. The couple later killed the girl when their kidnapping plans were awry.

The aunt picked up the girl Rakhiba regularly from school. Rakhiba turned up at school early on Wednesday and met the teacher to release Rakhiba early as her grandmother was ill. After kidnapping her from school, Salman made phone calls and sent messages to the girl's parents asking for a ransom of Rs 10 lakh.

When their plans went out of control, the couple strangled and killed the child. Salman even accompanies the girl's parents for the search and later to the police station for filing the missing report. 

Salman's involvement was confirmed from his phone records and he soon confessed to the crime.

The girl's father was employed in DUbai, and Salman and Sabreen had thought of making quick money by planning the kidnapping.
