HYDERABAD: Six persons were run over by a passenger train on Sunday while they were crossing tracks, a railway officer said.
    
The deceased trespassed the tracks when a weekly train Manmad-Secunderabad Express knocked them down between Hafizpet and Sanath Nagar railway stations here this morning, South central railways chief public relations officer P Krishnaiah said.

He said that the victims were neither railway employees nor contract labourers and that no railway work was going on the tracks at the time of the incident.

Meanwhile, efforts are underway to trace the identity of those killed in the incident, Krishnaiah said.
