Writing to a letter to the Supreme Court-appointed special investigation team (SIT) chief RK Raghavan on Friday, suspended IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt pushed for the interrogation of KD Panth's superior officers and also cited former BJP leader Suresh Mehta's letter dated January 5, 2012, alleging the SIT for not investigating the Zakia Jafri's complaint properly.

Bhatt mentioned Mehta's letter, wherein the latter had expressed very serious and genuine concerns about the fairness of the probe and had also raised some issues about the integrity and impartiality of the SIT.

Bhatt had raised the question on the investigation by mentioning that the SIT is deliberately reluctant to examine witnesses who would be able to provide vital information about the controversial meeting held at chief minister Narendra modi's residence on February 27, 2002.
