Shocker: Imran Khan deserves Nobel Prize, says Shah Faesal

In a shocking assertion, former Indian civil servant Shah Faesal has demanded Nobel Prize for Imran Khan. In that, he has literally toed the Pakistani line as a resolution has been submitted in Pakistan Parliament saying Imran Khan should be given Nobel Prize as he 'deserves it'. Babu turned politician Shah Faesal also echoed that sentiment and said Pakistan PM 'deserves' the prestigious award. In reality. 

Shah Faesal who has quit his job has announced forming a new political party and is looking to contest electiions. Faesal who is well followed on Twitter posted:

A Nobel Peace Prize to @ImranKhanPTI could drastically change the way Pakistan operates in the South Asia region.

IK has already raised the bar for leadership in the region, and the Prize could encourage him to further nurture the India-Pak relationship.

He deserves the prize.

Faesal remained conveniently blind to the fact that Imran Khan has done precious little to  crack down on terror groups operating from the country. Infact Pakistan FM Qureshi has gone on record to say that they are in contacts with Jaish chief Masood Azhar. Jaish terrorists attacked CRPF convoy on February 14 which lead to death of 40 securitymen. It started the latest round of tension between India and Pakistan. However, Pakistan has just resorted to delaying tactics without taking any steps against JeM. Yet, Faesal want Imran Khan to be given Nobel Prize for sending back IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Vartaman in two days, who was made captive by Pakistan. 

On January 9, the 2010 IAS topper decided to call it a day to protest "unabated killings in Kashmir, lack of any sincere reach-out from the Centre and the marginalisation of Indian Muslims at the hands of Hindutva forces". Later he called for re-imagining the mainstream politics and clarified that he would be representing the sentiment as per the narrative of the people once he joins the politics.

A resolution was submitted in Pakistan Parliament on Saturday to endorse Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan for the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize due to his efforts to de-escalate resent tension with India.
Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry Saturday submitted the resolution in the secretariat of National Assembly, the lower house.The resolution stated that Khan's decision of releasing Indian Air Force pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan has de-escalated the hostility between Pakistan and India.

According to the resolution, Khan acted responsibly in the current tension and "deserves the Nobel Peace Prize".The resolution is expected to be taken up on Monday when it is scheduled to convene its session.
It is also expected to be passed as the government has majority in the House but it will be interesting to see if main opposition parties support the move.
