One month since taking oath, the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh is facing the heat after two murders took place in 24 hours.
The first saw a BJP leader and civic body chairman Mandsaur, Prahlad Bandhawar (50) shot dead dd in Mandsaur. Meanwhile, the second murder took place in a busy marketplace in Indore where a Sandeep Agarwal a builder and local businessman was killed.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who went to Mandsaur to attend the funeral, wrote a letter to his successor CM Kamal Nath and asked for a high-level investigation. He alleged that criminal in MP have suddenly ‘become bold’ after the Congress government came to power.

This led to a rebuttal from Kamal Nath who, said there was ‘no need for a big investigation’, that the police had two witnesses and asked for the death not to ‘politicised’.
Police officers in Mandsaur state that a man named Manish Bairagi was the main accused and it was a land dispute.
The second murder took place 50 km from a police station.
