Yadav said the people, who are novices in politics get filled up with pride after becoming ministers. "They have no clue. The farmers matter is entirely different. A farmer commits suicide because of depression. Who is responsible for this condition of the farmers? There is a need to find ways to address this issue," he told the media here.

Meanwhile, Congress Member of Parliament Jyotiraditya Scindia said the government has crossed all limits of insensitivity at a time when farmers are suffering. Dhankar had made his controversial comment on Tuesday, and said those ending their lives did not deserve the government's support. "Suicide is a crime. According to Indian law, suicide is a crime. A person who commits suicide runs away from his responsibilities. Such people are cowards and the government cannot stand by such cowards or criminals," he said.
