Addressing the media, Gohil said that the state's debt had reached Rs1,37,000 crore in the last few years. "Instead of providing solutions for the problems facing the state, the CM instead plays politics on them. Government funds are grossly misused for political agenda. State transport buses have been discontinued in 5,900 routes of the state. In 2000, ST had 8,573 vehicles, which has now reduced to 6,514," he said.

Further he supplied that the number of government employees has reduced by 80,000 from 2.15 lakh in 1995 to 1.74 lakh today. The number of unemployed educated youth has shot up to 8,25,488, he pointed out.
