The parliamentary committee headed by BJP MP Kirit Somaiya probing the alleged security breach of Parliament by Aam Aadmi Party MP Bhagwant Mann has submitted a note to the Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Tuesday mentioning that the legislator is unrepentant of the 'serious violations' committed by him. According to sources, the committee had unanimously observed that Mann is not repentant of his action. "First he demanded unconditional apology and then he changed his stance. A note has been submitted to the speaker and after her comments, a final decision on Mann will be taken on Wednesday by the committee," a source said.

"Since he has been largely unrepentant, serious action is likely yo be taken on Mann, even though severity of the punishment will be decided tomorrow, depending on the speaker's comments," the source said.

Meanwhile, several Lok Sabha MPs on Tuesday wrote to Mahajan asking her to send Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann to a rehab centre.

Lok Sabha leaders including Shiromani Akali Dal's Prem Singh Chandumajra, BJP MP Maheish Girri and suspended AAP MP Harinder Singh Khalsa wrote to Mahajan to send Mann to a rehab centre for alcohol and drug de addiction on Lok Sabha's expense, urging her to disallow Mann to be part of Lok Sabha proceedings till his treatment his over.
