BHADOHI: Declaring Phoolan Devi as her ideal, another bandit queen on Wednesday announced her decision to try her luck at the hustings from the late bandit-turned-MP's Lok Sabha constituency of Mirzapur-Bhadohi.

"Had she been alive she would still have been representing this seat in the Lok Sabha... I have not come here to take her place but merely to complete the works left unfinished by her," Seema Parihar said.

Parihar, who is scheduled to file her papers as the nominee of the Indian Justice Party on Thursday for the coming bypoll of Mirzapur-Bhadohi seat, said she would work to restore the pride and honour of the constituency which was evident during Phoolan Devi's time.

Parihar, who had a brief stint in the film world after giving up the life of a bandit, termed politics as a new innings in her life.

"The ravines were the first innings of my life while films and politics is the second one which is very challenging," she said adding that she has been used to struggles and challenges throughout her life.

She said she has quit the ravines for good and would never think of going back.
