"Barring stray incidents in districts like Vizianagaram, wherein protesters indulged in stone-pelting on police and damaged their vehicles, the situation was under control in Seemandhra region in view of the bandh," he told PTI.

Apart from the existing forces, including paramilitary and state police personnel, more forces will start coming and they will be deployed accordingly, he said, adding, "We are expecting the forces from tomorrow."

"Our forces are capable of tackling the situation which is cropping up," the officer added.
