Security has been beefed up in Haryana and Chandigarh due to the release of controversial film Messenger of God (MSG) on Friday, featuring Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. The authorities have imposed section 144 in various districts to prevent any untoward incident.Censor Board chief Leela Samson had earlier last month stepped down from her post, amid controversy surrounding the clearance of controversial film "Messenger of God" and citing interference, coercion and corruption of panel members.Nine other board members resigned following her resignation. However, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore denied any coercion being enforced on the CBFC.The Kalgidhar Sewak Jatha had also sought a ban on the movie claiming that the film's screening would pose a serious threat to the law and order situation in Punjab and Haryana. The film is scheduled to release in over 4,000 screens across the country today.
