With crime against women on rise, the Jammu and Kashmir police has set up a women's police station in Anantnag district of South Kashmir and directed the staff to work with dedication to redress their grievances.
       
The womens' police cell was inaugurated by the IG Kashmir Farooq Ahmad, making it the second such station in the valley, a police spokesman said.
       
The women cell is headed by an inspector and adequate women officers and other staff has been provided to it, he said.
       
The IGP while interacting with the women officers directed them to give consultations and advise to local women so that their grievances are redressed.
