Schoolgirl shot dead in Haryana village
The victim, a student of class eight, was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her dead.
Unprovoked firing on two schoolgirls by motorcycle-borne youths on Wednesday left one of them dead in Haryana's Kaithal district, police said.
The incident took place in Pindal village in the district, 160 km from here. The girls were heading to their school when the youths came on a motorcycle and one of them fired at them.
The victim, a student of class eight, was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared her dead.
Police officials said the second girl was injured in the hand and was admitted to hospital.
They said they were investigating the motive behind the attack. No arrests have been made so far.
