Around ten people from Sardar Patel’s family reached to Statue of Unity location on Wednesday to attend the ceremony of inauguration of world’s tallest statue. The grand nephew and grandson of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s eldest brother Somabhai Patel, Dheerubhai Patel sighed of despondency said that his great grandfather meted with injustice as he was not made the prime minister of India.
Around ten people from Sardar Patel’s family reached to Statue of Unity location in Gujarat on Wednesday to attend the ceremony of inauguration of world’s tallest statue. The grand nephew and grandson of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s eldest brother Somabhai Patel, Dheerubhai Patel sighed of despondency said that his great grandfather meted with injustice as he was not made the prime minister of India.
Nonagenarian Dheerubhai, talking exclusively to DNA said, “Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru are responsible for not Sardar Patel letting be the Prime Minister of India. If Sardar Patel would be the first PM of India, our nation’s fate would be different.”
“I have sheer despondency on this issue as he had always a clean and blot-free character. Today, all the wrongdoings of Nehru-Gandhi clan have been exposed. As family members, we all wished that Sardar Patel should have been made the first PM of India. Congress is spreading all myths taking Sardar Patel and they never let his contribution shine out just to glorify image of Nehru,” he added.
Dheerubhai and his family members firmly believe that all credit went to incumbent PM Narendra Modi who made efforts to make Sardar Patel’s image popular among global community.
Sister of Dheerubhai, Urmilaben said, “We are happy today, if we put the past aside. It is proud moment for our family that our great grandfather has got this honour and respect from Narendra Modi. He is the great leader and the prime minister India ever got.”
Dheerubhai said, “Gandhiji always said that Nehru remained flying in air but Sardar Patel is the man of ground. Narendra Modi is same kind of man. He is the leader who is famous in the world unlike any other prime minister was in history of India. He has made us feeling proud on our grandfather.”
PM Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate world's tallest 182 meters long statue of unity, dedicated to Sardar Patel on his birth anniversary today.
