The boy was apparently killed over a dispute that his father had with his neighbour and business rival Asif Allarakha. The boy's father, Dilipsinh Jhala, had a scuffle with Allarakha.

It was during the key accused, Pranav Patel's interrogation that the police found the real motive behind the murder.  Patel, who was the mastermind behind the gruesome killing, was a regular visitor at Allarakha's shop.

Harsad, an employee of Dilipsinh, used to learn mobile phones repairing from Asif. Patel promised Asif that he would help him to create trouble for Dilipsinh.

"Shaktisinh was eventually kidnapped, and even before making the ransom call, they killed him," district superintendent of police, Ahmedabad Rural, Sandeep Singh told reporters.

The investigations revealed that apart from planning Shaktisinh's murder, Patel had also managed the logistics of the whole operation.

The police, however, solved the murder case and Patel is in police remand.
