At the function organised by Gujarat government in Mahatma Mandir at Gandhinagar, the participants except Chief Minister Narendra Modi were seen wearing saffron caps.

The AAP popularised the cap with an inscription 'I am Aam Aadmi', which was originally used during the independence struggle by Mahatma Gandhi and is commonly known as 'Gandhi caps'.

The saffron caps worn by participants at today's function had an inscription 'Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat' (One India, best India), often associated with Modi.
