S Rajendra Babu takes over as NHRC chairman
Former Chief Justice of India Justice S Rajendra Babu on Monday took over as the new Chairperson of National Human Rights Commission.
NEW DELHI: Former Chief Justice of India Justice S Rajendra Babu on Monday took over as the new Chairperson of National Human Rights Commission.
He is the fifth Chairperson of the Commission and he has taken over from Justice (Retd) Shivaraj V Patil.
Dr Rajendra Babu was Chair Professor at National Law School of India University, Bangalore, before the present assignment.
He retired as Chief Justice of India on June 1, 2004.
