RSS ups pitch for Ram temple ahead of Supreme Court hearing

Ahead of the hearing in Supreme Court, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) strongly pitched for building Ram Temple at Ayodhya saying it is a matter of belief for crores of Hindus as Lord Ram was born at this place.
"Ram Mandir should be built at Ayodhya because Lord Ram was born here. The belief of crores of Hindus is associated with it," said RSS general secretary Suresh 'Bhaiyyaji' Joshi while addressing a Dharam Sabha in Jammu on Wednesday.
Bhaiyyaji Joshi's pitch comes 10 days after Hindu seers resolved to build Ram temple at the Ram Janambhoomi in Ayodhya.
The Supreme Court will be hearing the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title dispute on January 4.
Bhaiyyaji Joshi also pitched for the protection of cow, calling cows one of the five mothers who ought to be protected.
"It is a duty to protect five mothers — Ghaimata, Gangamata, Dhartimata, Prakartikmata and the mother. All participants in this gathering should take a pledge to protect these five mothers. Once we accept them as our mothers, it will automatically help in banishing crime from the society. When we see woman as mother, there will be no atrocities against them", he said
RSS general secretary noted that all Hindus are one and that sentiment keeps the people and country secure. "All Hindus are one. This sentiment will keep us and the country safe," he said.
"Whether a law is made or not, ordnance is promulgated or not, Supreme Court shouts, mullahs and secular parties scream… the day when they tell us that stones are ready the construction will start. We had not checked the muharat (auspicious occasion) for taking down the structure (Babri Masjid). The muharat for Ram Mandir construction started from that day," said Swami Jagadguru Hansadevacharya, head of Akhil Bhartiya Sant Samaj while addressing dharam sabha organised by Vishwa Hindu Parishad at Jammu on December 16.
