A three-day national council meeting of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) to chalk out future strategy would begin here from October 17, a party functionary said.

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat would also attend the meeting to be held at Saraswati Kunj in Nirala Nagar this week, he said. Bhagwat reached Lucknow for a week-long visit on Sunday.

"A review would done along with chalking our future strategy during the three day national council meeting. A formal agenda would be finalised by the senior functionaries which it will be made official before the meet," the functionary said.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP national president Amit Shah have also been invited for the meeting but there is no official confirmation yet, he added.
