According to SSP Omkar Singh, cash of Rs 41,01,400 was recovered from a car during checking by police on the Rohta Road here.
Singh said that the occupants of the car could not give satisfactory answers about either the source or purpose of the money whereupon the matter has now been referred to revenue department officials for taking appropriate action.
Singh added that checks are being carried out in the area to prevent the use of black money in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
