RPSC Constable Recruitment 2020: Written exam begins amidst tight security, check guidelines here

More than 17 lakh candidates will be taking the exam for police constable recruitment in Rajasthan. The entire examination will be monitored via CCTV cameras.

RPSC Constable Recruitment written examination for 5,438 posts begins on Friday. More than 17 lakh candidates will be taking the exam for police constable recruitment in Rajasthan.

The Constable Recruitment written exam will last for three days. The entire examination will be monitored via CCTV cameras.

Director General of Police M L Lather said the constable recruitment examination will be held in two shifts daily on November 6, November 7 and November 8.

The first shift of exam would be held from 9.00 am to 11.00 am, while the second shift will be conducted from 3.00 pm to 5.0 pm.

 

About three lakh candidates will appear in each shift. A total of 17,61,760 candidates have applied for the recruitment examination for 5,438 constable posts.

The written examination is being conducted at 518 examination centres in 32 districts of the state, he said in a statement. 

Lather said all the candidates have been instructed to reach the examination centre two hours before the scheduled time.

Guidelines to be followed

- Take a print out of your admit card and carry it to the exam centre on the exam day. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without admit card printout

- Along with the admit card print out, the candidates should also carry a photo identity proof to show at the exam centre

- Students can carry other essential items like - pen, pencil, water bottle

- Candidates must not carry mobile phones, iPads, pen drives, hard disks, data cards, calculators etc. to the exam centre

- At the exam centre, biometric/thumb impression of the candidates will be used for attendance and identification. Hence, candidates must keep their thumb clean

- Candidates should wear mask, keep distance and follow all the Covid-19 safety guideline issued by the health ministry.

Precautions taken

It has been made clear that the internet will not be shut down during the examination. However police has decided that jammers would be in place.

DGP M L Lather said that precautions are being taken to ensure that the exams pass of smoothly on all three days.

Earlier this month mobile internet services had been suspended in Karauli, Bharatpur, Jaipur and Sawai Madhopur in view of the Gujjar agitation over reservation for the community.
