RPF halts train near Pune to nab hoax caller from Mumbai
The caller threatened to blow up Dadar station.
A team of the Railway Protection Force got a train to specially halt at Khadaki near Pune on Saturday evening to apprehend a passenger who had earlier made a hoax call to blow up Dadar station.
According to RPF officials, on receiving information from police authorities at 3.20 pm on Saturday about their search for this passenger, a search for trains between Mumbai and Pune was mounted.
Once the passenger was identified, said RPF officials, RPF commandant D Vivek asked the train operations department of Central Railways that the Hyderabad Express be halted at Khadaki which isn't a scheduled halt for the train.
"RPF team entered the train and nabbed accused Sagar Nakate in the general coach of Hyderabad Express at 4.40 pm," said a senior RPF officer.
