The RJD delegation, comprising senior party leaders, submitted a memorandum to the governor in which they alleged that the weaker sections of the society were being oppressed in the state for the last six months.
On a day when Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad Yadav was sentenced to five-years imprisonment in the fodder scam, his party, led by son Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, called on Bihar Governor Satya Pal Malik seeking immediate dismissal of the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government over "deteriorating law and order in the state."
"Nitish Kumar is unable to handle the state. Three parallel governments of the BJP, RSS and Nitishji is functioning in Bihar. The law and order is in worse shape," said Tejashwi, also the leader of the opposition in Bihar legislative assembly.
The RJD delegation, comprising senior party leaders, submitted a memorandum to the governor in which they alleged that the weaker sections of the society were being oppressed in the state for the last six months. "It is the basic duty of the government to preserve the interests of the deprived sections and ensure their participation in mainstream. However, the present government, which does not have the mandate of the public, looks helpless in tackling law and order and other incidents in the state," says the memorandum.
Tejashwi called the attention of the governor on recent incidents such as the police atrocities on Dalits in Nandal village, where CM Nitish's carcade was attacked and various scams including multi-crore Srijan scam and toilet scam.
"If a government is not able to protect the interest of its people, especially the weaker sections, what right does it have to remain in power," he said and asked the governor to dismiss the NDA government.
