Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has called a general strike on July 17 in Bihar to protest the alleged failure of the Centre and the state government to arrest the price spiral. RJD president Lalu Prasad said RJD workers would stage a demonstration before district collectorates on July 10 to protest the alleged failure of the Nitish Kumar government in curbing corruption, addressing the problems of farmers specially adequate supply of fertilisers and providing red cards and IAY units to BPL families.Prasad, who was speaking to the press after the meeting of the state executive body of the party yesterday, said he would embark on a 'Bhandaphor Yatra' (Expose Yatra) from next week to expose the NDA government for its alleged failure on all fronts.
