Red sanders smuggling doubles

A sudden demand in the international market for red sanders has resulted in increased smuggling of red sanders across the country, the annual report of the directorate revenue intelligence (DRI) has revealed.

Based on the seizures made by DRI in the last year, smuggling of red sanders has almost doubled as compared to the previous year.

The agency suspects that if the seizures have been almost double than the previous year, then a quantity of red sanders equivalent to more than double the quantity seized, has been smuggled out of the country during the same time. This revelation puts into poor light the security agencies responsible for preventing the smuggling of red sanders.
