In a shocking murder that is reminiscent of Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur, the son of a murder victim has confessed to stabbing his killer's father to death and chopped his father's body into 12 pieces, one for every year of his father's death. Alam Khan was 12 when he saw his father was murdered by a family friend in 2003, and he had secretly planned his revenge ever since.

Recently, Alam Khan invited his father's murderer over for a drink and after getting him drunk knifed him to death before using a hammer and hacksaw to dismember the body and chopped it into 12 pieces. He and an accomplice then threw the pieces of the body into the river. However, when the bags washed up on the river's banks, police were able to recognise him because of a distinctive scar on his torso.

When he was captured by the police, he claimed that he had seen the man kill his father. Police SP Ram Suresh Yadav said that he confessed to the crime and showed no remorse.
