The doctors at Safdarjung Hospital, who have been closely monitoring the girl's health, said her platelet count and total leukocyte count had also shown improvement as compared to that of Monday and that she was physically fit to speak now.

"Her liver functions are by and large fine, her lab profile is also by and large static and her platelet count and total leukocyte count has improved," said Dr Sunil Jain.

He, however, said that her counts have improved after pumping in a lot of blood and platelets.

Dr PK Verma, ICU incharge, said the girl is better than yesterday, but still on ventilator and her urine output is also good.

"She is still on ventilator, though the ventilator support has been reduced," he said.

On Monday, her health had deteriorated after she had showed tendencies of internal bleeding. The doctors had then termed her condition as "very serious and very critical".
