Ram Jethmalani meets Rajiv Gandhi's killers in jail

Senior Supreme Court lawyer Ram Jethmalani today met the three death row convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi Assassination case at the Central Prison here. Jethmalani, accompanied by MDMK leader Vaiko, met Murugan, Perarivalan and Santhan, whose hanging has been stayed by the Madras High Court on August 30 on a petition seeking to commute their sentence to life term.Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Jethmalani, who had appeared for the three before the high court, said he discussed about their case.To a question about denial of bail to DMK MP Kanimozhi in the 2G case, in which he had appeared for her, the noted jurist said "I don't know why she is in jail."
