Rajya Sabha Elections 2020: Voting on 11 seats in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand will be held on November 9

The Election Commission has announced the election schedule for 11 seats of Rajya Sabha. All seats will be voted on November 9. 11 seats of Rajya Sabha will be vacant in November due to the completion of the term of the members. There are ten seats in Uttarakhand and 10 in Uttar Pradesh.

At the same time, the tenure of ten members of Rajya Sabha in Uttar Pradesh will end on November 25. The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule of elections for this. Voting will be held on November 9 for ten seats.

Chief Electoral Officer Ajay Kumar Shukla said that the election notification will be issued on October 20. The last date for nomination will be October 27, and the nomination papers will be scrutinized on October 28. Candidates can withdraw their nomination by November 2, and voting time is 9 AM to 4 PM on November 9. Counting will be done on this day. Elections will be held before November 11.

The term of BJP's Neeraj Shekhar, Arun Singh, and Union Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Samajwadi Party Professor Ram Gopal Yadav, Dr. Chandrapal Singh Yadav, and Ravi Prakash Verma, Veer Singh, Congress's PL Punia, Javed Ali Khan and Raja Ram of Bahujan Samaj Party from Uttar Pradesh ends on November 25. So is Raj Babbar from Uttarakhand. Talking about UP, it is believed that according to the strength of numbers, the candidates of BJP in these nine seats are going to Rajya Sabha.
