Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal met Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday, days after the controversy over the alleged assault on Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash by AAP MLAs at a late-night meeting called at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence.
"Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Anil Baijal called on the HM today," HMO India tweeted. According to sources, the L-G discussed the "impasse" over the alleged assault of the chief secretary. Bureaucrats have been boycotting meetings with the political executive since the incident.
On Friday, Delhi CM and AAP chief Kejriwal, along with his cabinet colleagues, had knocked on the door of LG House to ensure that the government work is not affected by the face-off between officers and ministers. On Tuesday, the Ministry of Home Affairs had sought a report on the incident from the L-G.
