Rajkot: 22-year-old woman allegedly abducted, raped inside moving van
The girl filed a complaint on Monday and the accused were arrested on Tuesday.
A 22-year-old woman was allegedly abducted and raped in a moving van two days ago, and two persons were arrested in this connection on Tuesday, police said.
Amit Ahir and Bhavesh Barwad (both 20) allegedly abducted the woman from her house near Nana Mauva area on the night of January 3.
"Amit allegedly raped the girl inside the van," said lady police sub-inspector H D Solanki, who is investigating the case.
Bhavesh drives a school van, and he used to pick up the victim's niece. The same van was used in the crime, she said. Later, the duo dumped the girl on the road.
The girl filed a complaint on Monday and the accused were arrested on Tuesday.
