While the government is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that people stay inside their homes and don't step out until it is extremely necessary, some artists in Rajasthan's Churu are using their creativity to send the same message to everyone and raise awareness about the coronavirus crisis.

Union Minister of Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Wednesday took to microblogging site Twitter to inform about two artists who have created beautiful paintings on the roads in two separate districts to make people aware.

He also shared the paintings on his Twitter account.

"An artist from Churu district made a painting on the road raising awareness about corona and another artist in Jodhpur made a painting on the road appealing for cooperation with the police administration. The followers of the art world are gaining everyone's attention even during this time by doing the job of a communicator with dexterity in a unique manner," his tweet read.

Recently, the Churu Police organised an online competition for all the residents of districts to keep them busy inside their homes during the lockdown. In the competition, the participants had to record videos while acting, dancing, singing, playing an instrument, orating poetry, doing stand-up comedy, or cooking and send them to the Churu Police.

The selected entries will be shared on the social media handles of the Churu Police.

Meanwhile, till 2 PM on April 15, the number of coronavirus cases in Rajasthan reached 1,046.
