The parents of a 7-year-old boy, who was found dead in Kota after his abduction, on Tuesday demanded a CBI probe into the matter even as protests were held to demand immediate arrest of the culprits.

Rudraksh Handa was found dead on Friday in Jhakmund village of Bundi district after he was allegedly abducted from a park in Talwandi area of Kota city on the previous day, police said.

"We want the case to be given to CBI for investigation if the police fails to arrest the accused immediately," Punit Handa, father of the deceased, said.

According to police, a suspect in the case has surfaced after examining the footages of CCTV cameras collected from various points of the city. Meanwhile, angry villagers staged a protest to demand action against the accused. Trade organisations observed a bandh yesterday to demand the immediate arrest of the accused.
