Rajasthan government would run a special campaign against overloaded vehicles in order to curb accidents caused by such vehicles, a minister said. Transport Minister Yunus Khan said that unfit vehicles plying on state capital will be taken off the road within one month.

Khan after holding a review meeting of officials told reporters that the government was focusing on curbing road accidents. "At least 9-10 thousand road accidents take place in Rajasthan and its our priority to bring down this number for which we will start a special campaign against overloading and unfit vehicles," Khan said.

He said that the government would improve facilities for passengers at bus stands. Khan reiterated that the government will not close state roadways and efforts would also be made to improve its financial position.
