Shah arrived at the airport but returned home. The local unit had planned a grand welcome for the party President at Portblair Airport and had also planned a bike rally from the airport to the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose statue at Marina Park.

As per sources, this visit will be rescheduled in October. In his nationwide tour, Andaman, too, holds an important place as it falls in 'category B' city, where the party is in strong position but not in power and where the party feels the state has a lot of potential to be converted into electoral response.

Shah is all set for his next tour to a 'Category A' state (where the party is in power). His three-day tour to Chattisgarh is to further strengthen the chords between the party, organisation, and the government. Shah's schedule involves meetings with party local leaders, general secretaries, and RSS leaders.
